Diagnostic Medicine in Brazil
The diagnostic medicine market had revenues in Brazil, in 2015, of R$25.2 billion, with a historical growth of 14.6% per year between 2009 and 2015, according to the ANS. Besides the increase in the percentage of population covered by healthcare plans having influenced the development of the market, we believe that this growth also happened due to factors such as population aging, the adoption of a preventive medicine model instead of curative medicine and the implementation of new technologies with an increased coverage scope by healthcare plans.
